Automatic gates can be operated by either an above ground ‘arm’ system, or an underground system. Both deliver the same operation, but many people prefer the underground system as it preserves the aesthetics of their gates. Underground systems are slightly more expensive and they are more complex to install, but in the end, the cosmetic advantages often outweigh such considerations.
